I just heard a segment on All Things Considered about last
night's Pacers-Magic playoff game. ATC mentions sports so
infrequently, I took notice, and I feel a bit betrayed that they ran a
piece on a sport which already receives a lot of hype in the
mainstream. I was going to write them about it, but I realized that I
wasn't listening to ATC around the time of the Maine-Michigan game, so
for all I know they did run a piece on that, too. So, does anybody
out there know if All Things Considered mentioned the Maine-Michigan
semifinal (say, on March 31)? It certainly was as remarkable as a
bunch of late baskets, and College Hockey is a much more eclectic
sport for NPR to cover than Pro Basketball. If they didn't mention
it, they should have, especially in light of the segment I just heard.
