 Here's an abbreviated report on the WCHA from this past weekend.
 
 The Minnesota Gophers tied St Cloud State in Friday's contest at the National
 Ice Center in St Cloud, MN (3-3), with junior Jeff Stolp in goal. Saturday
 night at Mariucci arena the Gophers beat the SCS Huskies 5-4 with sophomore
 Tom Newman in goal.  Both arenas had sellout crowds.
 
 Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Northern Michigan all swept their series openers.
 Minnesota is in fourth place in the WCHA with 3 points and heads to Denver this
  weekend for a series there.  More later today.
