The Badgers' improved chemistry cannot be solely attributed to coaching. In a
Badger Plus article, Mark Strobel commented on being an AC as a junior, and
said that some seniors looked down on him for trying to fill a leadership role,
and said he feels much better this year about the team's chemistry. Is this due
to Sauer? Most likely not... while the Badgers did finish higher than expected
after the losses of Fairchild and Carey, I don't think Sauer deserves Coach of
the Year honors... it's hard to say that the Badgers improved more than Denver
did from last year's teams.
