That is what I would think, but it is still unclear to me if this is
the case.  I do not know if HE has any sort of limitation on the
number of games you can play and still be considered a rookie the next
season (like the NHL does).
 
It may be as simple as, one game played in a prior season makes you
ineligible for rookie honors in a succeeding season.  I don't know yet.

Although Tory is technically a junior, this does not play any part in
determining whether HE considers him a rookie or not.  Mike
Latendresse was a sophomore in 92-93 (actually, as we now know, a
junior) and was still considered a rookie by HE - he won Rookie of the
Week honors a couple of times.
 
The final decision on whether Tory is eligible for HE rookie honors
rests with HE.  The NC$$ has no say...HE can do whatever it wishes.
These decisions are left up to the conferences.
