The thing to remember with Kariya is that he feels VERY strongly about
his education (well, I can't say that from a personal conversation, but
that is what I've heard...), his parents are teachers i believe, and
Paul really wants to finsih school. In all reality, unless the Ducks
trade his rights (which I believe they are not allowed to due to teh
california seals/Guy Laflour fiasco...) He would be playing for about
a month and a half. The ducks will NOT be participating in the playoffs...
I see paul staying at maine and making another run at the championship,
and then signing a contract right after maine is elinated (or preferably
wins...) it just makes more sense... Its not like he would be making
millions anyway, if he signs for 2 million, that's 2 million over
80 games, since he'd only be playing oh say 15, that's less than 500,000....
Yes its alot of money, but I think he'd like another National Collegiate
Championship, as well as two years of schooling first....
