It would be nice to get some cogent thoughts on college hockey on the list.
The point about the MAAC getting eating into the ECAC is well taken. The word
is that the MAAC is negatively pouncing on the reduced schedule and
pretension of sports de-emphasis to go after Canadian recruits who may able
to understand why Harvard is expensive and worth 35,000 per annum whereas
maybe you can go to Iona for free. Another interesting little tidbit that may
help the ECAC is that the NESEAC schools (Williams, Amherst, Bowdoin at
least) are cutting down on their athletic acceptance preference. The first
line at these schools is usually good enough to play ECAC. Hopefully a little
food for thought and no silly tag line at the end.
