Glenn Stewart had his first career hattrick as New Hampshire defeated
Boston College 5-2 on Saturday night. UNH got back on the winning
track and improved to 13-7 (6-3 Hockey East) while BC fell to 9-11-1
(6-6 Hockey East).
I don't have much time to recount details, but UNH played a very good
game, outplaying BC for the most part. For UNH, senior defenseman
Frank Messina returned after being benched for two games -- Chris
Jensen sat out in his place. Kevin Thomson may be lost for the season
after suffering what UNH personell were calling a "probable broken
left hip or leg" in the second period. Sophomore Rob Donovan took
Thomson's place on the Morrow-Flanagan line and picked up a goal and
an assist.
