Yesterday I witnessed two firsts. Prior to the start of the BU-BC game,
the Eagles were penalized 2 minutes for violating hockey protocol.
Nobody I spoke with knew the exact reason why this happened, other than
to theorize that the BC players lined up for the anthem without their
helmets.

My dad has been following BU hockey for most of his 70 years. In his
first game at Kelly Rink (he saw several at McHugh Forum), he was struck
by a flying puck in the first period. Bernie took it like a trooper and
didn't miss a shift. No law suits are pending. After the game he went
to a pharmacy to buy himself an ice pack. The CVS store manager told
him he was once hit by a puck at Cornell's Lynah Rink.

A correction to my prior post. BU was credited with only 21 shots, not
24.
