This is why you rarely ever hear about an Alaskan hat trick...  That would
require 9.

                This has no roots in college hockey,  but a "Texas hat
trick" is 4 goals in one game by one player.  It was a term coined during a
Dallas Stars game a couple of year ago when (I believe it was) Dave Gagner
who scored 4 goals.  I was there.  It was an exciting high scoring game .
Everything's supposed to be bigger in Texas, including hat tricks.  :)
