According to this morning's Star-Tribune, the NCAA is looking into a payment
of $500 Doug Woog made to Chris McAlpine after the 1993-94 season.  It was
apparently to help McAlpine finish school.  The timing of the payment
mentioned in the brief article was after McAlpine had used all of his
eligibility.  I have no idea what this would mean about its propriety, if
that was the case.  The University had no comment.
