Yes, it's the one you'll all been waiting for with baited breath.

We will use the same format as last year, when I sort of inherited the post of
Contest Director. Games will be given point values of 1 for the first round,
2 for the quarterfinals, 4 for the national semis, and 8 for the championship
game. That should yield a total of 28 points.

We will use two tiebreakers this year, just in case. The first will be the
total number of goals scored in Providence (LOWER beats HIGHER; e.g. if it
turns out to be 25, a guess of 30 beats out one of 19 but loses to a guess
of 20, since they are equally as far off.) The second will be the total
number of penalty minutes in the title game (which I won't need any help
with since I will be in Providence with the trusty notebook). Once again,
LOWER beats HIGHER. Game misconduct penalties (God forbid) will be considered
to be 60-minute penalties.

The brackets, for those of you who haven't gotten tired of seeing them already:

All Eastern 1st round and quarterfinal games are in Worcester, MA, while all
Western 1st round and quarterfinal games are in Madison, WI. The national
semifinals and the championship game are in Providence, RI.

While the brackets are nice, they're not part of the entry form. (I've gone
a little simpler to save computer space.) The order form is below. PLEASE
DO NOT SEND ME THE ENTIRE MESSAGE BACK, just the entry part.

The deadline is "postmarked" by the beginning of the first game on Friday,
which is at 4:30 pm EST (UNH vs. Denver). Those of you in other time zones,
unless you're a victim of outcome-based education, should be able to figure
out the corresponding time in your neck of the woods. PLEASE SEND ENTRIES TO
ME ([log in to unmask]), not to the list. I'm sure Wayne doesn't
want them spinning around at Maine for eternity.
