Rumor around here was that Brent was on his way out
of the CCHA anyway, so he decided to scab in the NHL. I
believe all of the leagues' officials were under the
impression that if they filled in for the striking refs,
they would not be welcomed back to the CCHA.
 
No hard facts, tho. And no great loss with Brent leaving--
he was not one of the league's best. I will miss calling
him "Ruth-dorfer", however.
