All info from John Gilbert's article in today's (12/17/93) Star-Tribune, some of
it paraphrased, some quoted:

Joe Dziedzic will finally return to the lineup for the Gophers this weekend
against Alaska-Anchorage. The senior wing broke a bone in his arm during the
second game of the season at Colorado College.

Chris McAlpine got medical clearance to play this weekend, but won't play
tonight because of the death of his grandmother:
"Dorothy McAlpine of South St. Paul died Tuesday, and her six grandsons,
including Chris and his cousin and Gopher teammate Mike McAlpine, will be
pallbearers at today's funeral"
Chris suffered a sprained ankle and bruised knee in the Sunday game against
North Dakota. Mike is still out of the lineup nursing a sprained knee. Both
are defensemen.

Also, wing Jed Fiebelkorn and defenseman Charlie Wasley have to sit out tonight
because of game DQs. Because of the travel roster limit, Fiebelkorn will remain
at home and the Gophers will have only five defensemen tonight, including Andy
Brink, who's being moved back from forward until Wasley and McAlpine rejoin the
team Saturday. Brink, btw, will leave the team to play in the World Junior
tournament in Czechoslovakia after this weekend.

Woog's lines for tonight:
Brian Bonin-Joe Dziedzic-Justin McHugh
Tony Bianchi-Steve Magnusson-Jeff Nielsen
Bobby Dustin-Dan Woog-Dave Larson
Nick Checco-Brent Godbout-Dan Hendrickson

Also, from the accompanying "Updates":

"Jeff Moen's shutout Sunday put him No. 1 among WCHA goaltenders with a 2.69
goals-against average and a .909 save percentage."
"Keith Morris (6-9-15) and Paul Williams (5-9-14) lead the scoring, but the key
to Anchorage's success has been goaltender Lee Schill, who is a close second to
Moen at 2.99 in goals-against average and .907 in save percentage. Schill has
played 11 WCHA games to five for Moen."

"Coach Kelvin (Brush) Christiansen is the brother of former UMD All-America
Keith (Huffer) Christiansen."
