Mike asked about Tom Glavine's eligibility for hockey after he retires from the
Braves... I thought for sure there was a rule against it ... but I can't find
it. The NCAA language on this thing always includes the phrase "...in that
sport...". So, barring a clarification from someone else, it would seem
Glavine is eligible to play collegiate hockey, providng he is not under
contract to any team, is not receiving (residual) payments or salary, etc.
Hmmm... the Ice Griffs could use this guy; then again, so could the Griffin
baseball team ;)
