Charlie, I don't believe there's anyone left in the area. 

I'm long gone from Farmington Hills and, though the CCHA head office is 
there, its website offers no suggestions for how to reach them for 
suggestions.  But here's a site,  http://www.visitdetroit.com/, that 
claims it wants to be helpful, even lists the Frozen Four on its home 
page and offers an 800 number and online chat assistance.  If you talk 
with them, you might ask whether they have blanket advice for the 
Hockey-L crowd or whether they might even be generous enough to compose 
a little email message of suggestions you could forward to the list.
