With the conference post-season tournaments over and the NCAA tournament almost upon us, it's time to announce the winners of the Pick the Post-Season Tournaments contests. For Contest #2, in which all rounds are scored the same, the overall winner is...

whose 62 points edged out runner-up Tony Buffa by one.
As for the individual conference winners...
Mark Lewin’s 16 points took top honors in the ECACH.
The Hockey East crown went to Tony Buffa with 12 points.
The CCHA race ended in a dead heat among Scott Kaplan, Nick Markham, Jim Dixon, and Robert Hamilton, each of whom recorded 14 points. Scott, Nick, and Jim remained tied after the first tiebreaker (championship game score), but Scott took the second tiebreaker and the title, as his predicted total goals scored in the tournament was only one shy of the actual result.
Nathan Hampton finished first in the WCHA race with 14 points.
Atlantic Hockey went to Wayne Smith, who got 16 points.
From last week's update, the CHA went to me with 4 points.
Tiebreaker notes: The first tiebreaker was the difference between your predicted championship-game score and the actual score. Thus, if you picked the score of the ECAC championship game (actually 3-0) to be 1-0, you would get two points; if you picked 4-2, you would get three points; and if you picked 5-3, you would get five points. Obviously, the lower the point score the better.
The second tiebreaker was the difference between your predicted total of goals scored in the entire tournament and the actual number. Again, the lower the point total the better.
As far as tiebreakers that were actually needed:
For the CCHA, the championship game score was 2-1 and the total goals scored in the tournament was 128.
The USCHO prognosticators' numbers are included below, as are the "Higher
Seed" picks showing what would have happened if the higher seed for each
game had been picked to win.
