With the conference post-season tournaments over and the NCAA tournament almost upon us, it's time to announce the winners of the Pick the Post-Season Tournament contests.  For Contest #1, in which the later rounds were weighted more than the earlier ones, the overall winner is...

     Tony Buffa

whose 162 points beat runner-up Nick Markham by 5.  All hail the Sage of San Luis Obispo –- we stand in awe of your tremendous luck prognosticating luck ability luck.  (Yes, the grapes are a bit on the sour side –- what’s your point? :-)

As for the individual conference winners...

Mark Lewin took the top spot in the ECACH with 45 points.

First place in Hockey East went to Tony Buffa, with 43 points.

Upsets in the CCHA played havoc with everyone’s picks.  Scott Kaplan emerged the winner, with 31 points.

The WCHA also produced quite a mess, with Nathan Hampton’s 31 points taking the top spot.

In Atlantic Hockey, Wayne Smith set the pace with 49 points.

From last week's update, the CHA went to me with 24 points.

The USCHO prognosticators' numbers are included below, as are the "Higher
Seed" picks showing what would have happened if the higher seed for each
game had been picked to win.  The USCHO did quite well, as they benefitted from not having to make all their picks at once.
