The following was printed in the Stevens Point Journal:
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point introduced former defenseman
Wil Nichol as the fourth men's hockey coach in school history at a press
conference Wednesday.
Nichol has been the hockey coach at Stevens Point Area Senior High the
past two. He played for the Pointers from 1994-98 including being one
of the Captains on the 1998 Division III national runner-up team. He
replaces Joe Baldarotta who resigned this Spring after 16 seasons as the
head coach.
The Pointers, once a National powerhouse, have fallen on hard times in
recent years. Here's hoping for a Pointer resurgence.
