Thanks to Wayne for cumulating all of this as per below.

I find it is very interesting from the ECAC perspective. Only one in the
top 15 but none in the bottom 15. The league is concentrated between 16
and 42. I guess it sort of confirms my impression that the league is very
balanced. I have not seen everyone play yet this year but I have seen most
of the teams. I did see the away game at Brown (the lowest rated team at
42) and they were not that bad a team. Hockey East is also interesting in
a different way with 5 in the top 15 and 2 in the bottom 15.

I saw Cornell # 24 spit with UNH # 2 and Manie # 5 in Estero and the all
three teams were pretty close. The difference from 2 to 24 may not be as
great as it seems. I suppose the individual components of the cumulative #
24 may reflect this uncertainty For Cornell they are
"15 13 18 18 12 22" with three of the numbers in the
top 15. I am not sure I think Cornell is a top 15 team but on a given
night they certainly can play like a top 15 team.

This is all a work in progress. The next few weeks will sort things out a
bit more but then again at the end of the season we will have a final
cumulation from Wayne and as much as I enjoy them I am not so sure what it
tells me. I guess we can say that Div. 1 hockey is a small club and I
think it is very competitive. I can easily conceive a bottom 10 team
beating at top 10 and this is beyond imagination in say basketball. Of
course the scale in basketball is much larger and I really do not follow
the sport or even know how many teams there are. Maybe the comparison in
basketball is top 50 to bottom 50 and it is just the same as hockey.
