as many of you know, I've been attending phrozen phours and luncheons
for several years.  Several of us have been, thanks to the efforts of
Kathy Martin, have been getting rooms at the same place.  This year, i
was tasked with finding the place.  A few months ago, I made
arrangements for a modest discount at the Hampton Inn Boston-Cambridge.
The discounted rate is $129 for 1 or $139 for 2 or more plus about
12.45% tax.  I believe there may be a few more rooms available at that
group rate.  Should you be interested, you can make reservations in at
least 3 ways:

1)  by the Web
        go to www.hamptoninn.com
        enter boston mass in the quick search tab (i entered the dates too)
        click find it
        then click book a room at Hampton boston/cambridge
        fill out the details
        be certain to enter the code "hlg" (hockey list group) in
                   the group/convention box
        click next

2)  by 1-800-hampton (1-800-426-7866)
        and ask for the hockey-l group block or the code "hlg"

3)  call the hotel directly at 1-617-494-5300 and ask for the Hockey-l
    group block

Cancellation deadline is 6:00 PM the day of arrival

Incidentally, the rate is cheaper than either the gov't rate or AARP
rate.
