Cathy, I couldn't agree more with your thoughts. I myself just got back
from a business/pleasure trip to Minneapolis in which I had a chance to get
up to Eveleth (190 miles north), driving through countryside that was not
unlike southern New Hampshire at all, to get to the US Hockey Hall of Fame.
Incidentally this is a terrific facility and well worth the trip.

I too hope that the Gopher fans were treated respectfully, and that they
came away from the Whitt with as positive a feeling about New Hampshire, the
Wildcats, and their fans as you and I have of their program, despite the
Saturday night loss. And they do have a terrific program and the Gopers are
an outstanding club. They are NOT overrated.

One suggestion for Minnesota fans though. Having spent a couple days in
northern Minnesota, in the Iron Range, I would think that adopting a new
mascot (Minnesota Iron Rangers) would better reflect their history and
heritage and have more inspirational value to the team than Gophers. Just a
thought.

No? OK, so I'll mind my own business {;^)
