St. Lawrence beat UVM, 3-2 in the final game of the regular season to
secure a playoff spot.  SLU took a 3-1 lead and UVM cut it to 3-2  with
the goalie pulled for an extra attacker.  They almost scored again as
the seconds ran out.

It appears that SLU will be traveling down the road to Clarkson for the
first round of the playoffs.  It will be exciting in the North Country.

In between the first and second period they had a ceremony to honor Mike
Pelletier and Rich Stweart of the 1988 team who were killed in the World
Trade Center disaster.  As a bag piper played "When the Saints Come
Marching In" the teams returned to the benches and members of the 1988
(and earlier) team came out on to the ice.  Some of the former players
there were Jamie Baker, Pete Lappin, Peter McGeough, Hank Lammens,
Brian  McColgan, Marty Ball, Paul Cohen, Russ Mann and Scott Yearwood.
They presented framed jerseys to the Pelletier and Stewart families.
