Brown beat Clarkson 2-0 this evening. Sophomore Quebec natives Pascal Denis
(Magog) and Yann Danis (Lafontaine) lead Brown (12-11-2, 8-8-2) to a 2-0
victory over Clarkson.

The Bears earned their second consecutive shutout for the first time since
1929-1930, while earning a victory at Cheel Arena for the first time since
1992. The victory also snapped Clarkson's 26-game winning streak over Brown.

After over two periods of scoreless action in what was a defensive battle,
Denis opened up a 0-0 tie with his fourth goal of the season. The goal, which
was short-handed and unassisted, came at 3:12 of the final period. It was just
the second short-handed tally for the Bears this season and the first of
Denis' career.

Brown took a 2-0 lead less than five minutes later when junior Keith Kirley
(Leverett, MA) fired a slap shot in from the top of the right face-off circle
at 8:04. The goal was his second in as many games, while sophomore Brent
Robinson (Pointe Claire, QUE) earned his sixth point in four games with an
assist and junior defenseman Owen Walter (Prince Albert, SASK) picked up his
first point of the season with an assist.

For the game, Danis finished with 25 saves, picking up his ninth win of the
year. Look for Yann Danis to take home ECAC player of the week honors again!
