This is in response to Rich Vehlow's query about Princeton's
being listed ahead of RPI in the standings despite being tied in points.
It has been my observation over the years that in just about *every*
sport's standings during the season teams that are tied in total points
or winning percentage or whatever are listed in *alphabetical order*.
Here's an example: last season, going into the final ECAC weekend, Cornell
and Clarkson were tied in points but Cornell held the tie-breaking
advantage at that time. Still, Clarkson was always listed ahead of
Cornell in the Standings because of the alphabet.
