The NCAA is not producing the game.  WABI-TV and MSC are teaming up to
bring this broadcast to Minnesota and Maine.  I believe MSC is really
doing the bulk of production and it is quite expensive -- for both
stations.

According to an article in our local paper, WABI only has a shot to turn a
profit if Maine wins and plays on Saturday since the stations have to
produce the games themselves and those costs are so high.

The NCAA will produce the Saturday games and then the stations just pay a
rights fee.

Knock the NCAA for not producing the first games, but give credit to WABI
and MSC for going the extra mile for their fans even though they may lose
money on the deal.
