Hey, the Frozen Four is really fun!

Number of different D I schools whose name we saw on some article of worn
clothing: 30. Including *both* Alaskas.

Hail to the Victors total: A modest 11. We counted.

Crowd response (10 is the metaphysical highest)

Applause

BC 7
Michigan 5
UNH 4
Ohio State 3

Booing

Michigan 5
UNH 2
Ohio State 2 (mostly the same "2")
BC 1

Which team looked strongest? Michigan.

Which game was better? BC-OSU, *although* the first half of the UM-UNH
game was very good, with both teams playing well (UNH was tentative but
they had their chances -- Turco drove a stake through their heart with the
"twin killing" of his two amazing saves).

Class group: OSU fans for the great salute they gave their team, and their
constant, optimistic support. Despite being numerically fourth of four by
a large margin, they were easily the most interesting fan group we saw
Thursday.

Difference from a Regional: a lot more energy, and the tangible feeling
that two wins and it's yours, period. The Fleet displays banners for
every school which has won the national title, and many, many fans repeat
the same pattern: walk in, see the banners, figure it out and then
*immediately* look for their own! It was great.
