I'm not sure what Vermont games you were watching in the past, but St.
Louis-Perrin have always played on the power-play together, probably 95% of the
time.

And the notion that they end up "spent" for most of the game, is quite
inaccurate and silly. They didn't look all that spent during double OT against
Colorado College last year.

C'mon. Vermont loses one game against a very good team -- it's not the end of
the world. I don't think Vermont has played great hockey yet this year, but
with more or less the same key players as last year, what makes you think they
won't eventually --- and they're still 6-2 and ranked 4th.

The notion that St. Louis-Perrin can't play defense is pretty absurd --- They
kill penalties and do it well. Maybe because of their size they can't play
great one-on-one traditional defense, but they backcheck and forecheck like
crazy, which mean that overall, they are pretty good defensive players.

I agree that Vermont seems frustrated right now --- but I don't think they're
giving themselves enough of a break. It's early and everyone, including fans
and they themselves should remember that.

The pair missed classes. It takes a lot of guts for a coach to bench two
players for missing classes when playing the league's top team.
