The Huskies from Michigan Tech managed to do what no team has done
so far this season. They took 2 points from Colorado College
with 2 ties this weekend.

Playing well and shooting for 3 points with a win tonight, late in
the 3rd period, CC centered the puck from the corner and it caromed
off the skate of Jason Prokepetz who was covering the slot well
and into the net. Nothing Tech could do on the palay and thats how
the game ended a 3-3 tie.

After struggling so far this season and losing 2 games in
duluth one in OT and one with 30 seconds left in regulation,
the 2 ties and 2 points are welcome ones. The Huskies skated
well tonight and Carravaggio had a great game and also received
planty of defensive help with several Huskies going down to block
shots.

Once in the 2nd and once in the 3rd period, I heard my favorite
sound in hockey, the puck solidly clanking off the pipe behind
the MTU net minder. Man thats a sweet sound! ;-)

The Huskies travel to Denver next weekend.

Bob
