Just to give you an idea of Colorado College's power this season,
here's a quote from Michigan Tech coach Bob Mancini. After Tech lost 3-1 on
Friday night, Mancini said on the radio, "that was the best game that we've
played all season." Keep in mind that not only was it their best game of the
season, but Tech was ranked #13 last week in this list's poll and was playing
at home. After that victory, CC went on Saturday night to win 9-3 with four
short-handed goals. CC now has 9 short-handed goals on the season, including
two against Michigan.
Colorado College has now won three weekend sweeps in a row, two of
which were on the road (St. Cloud and MTU). I doubt there is any team that
plays better on the road than the Tigers; since last year's winter carnival
sweep against Tech, CC is now 8-2 on the road.
Next week the Tigers will be in the upper peninsula again to take on
Northern Michigan, but the real college hockey showdown will come in two weeks
when the Gophers of Minnesota come to Colorado Springs. This will be an
especially interesting game because the Gophers, noted for come-from-behind
victories, will face the Tigers who have never given up an opening lead this
season (CC is 10-0 when scoring first).

                        GO TIGERS!!!!!
