Seems like it was a hard-hitting game, with the US taking too many
penalties again and paying for it.
 
 
Also in the paper was an article about the possible change in the
NCAA's hockey tournament, as heard first here.  It is the 12-team
field with the two regional sites hosting 6 teams, 4 from that region,
and the top two getting a bye for the first game.  The series are
single elimination.  It is a proposed format, recommended by the
committee.  The NCAA's executive committee will consider it next
week.  Laing Kennedy said that the proposal seemed to be agreeable
to the coaches.
Clarkson's coach Mark Morris was quoted as saying that he guessed
it was "a good alternative." However he thought that the best judge
of a team was a best-of-three series, but that that involves a lot
of money and time.
Kennedy also said that if the new format was accepted, that they would
begin to implement it, however he didn't know if next year's final in
Albany could be changed.
