From the Star Tribune this morning:

 SOVIETS AGAIN BEAT TEAM USA
Defenseman Viacheslav Fetisov, who plays for the New Jersey Devils,
scored two early goals as the Soviet Union beat Team USA 6-4 in a medal-round
opener Tuesday in the World Hockey Championships at Turku, Finland. It was the
Soviets' 26th consecutive victory over the U.S. at the championships, dating
 back to 1960.

As they did in their opening-round, 12-2 loss to the Soviets, the Americans
took too many penalties and paid for it, yielding three power-play goals. The
reigning world champions, favored to win a record 23rd title, took a 4-0 lead
 12:20 into the game.

In yesterday's other game, goaltender Sean Burke made 42 saves as Canada
skated to a 3-3 tie with Sweden.
