As posted on the Student Conference web site, because some spaces remain
available and we want to "fill the house," schools may now register an
additional 10 students and 2 adults, bringing totals per school up to 45
students and 9 adults. This is a great way to make full use of a bus or a
wonderful way to bring along a few more kids who would benefit from this
exciting day - May 24, 2012 at UMaine in Orono.

School on a budget? Here are a few suggestions to keep in mind!

* It's great to have parents act as chaperones if teachers cannot get the
day away from school (save on substitute costs!)
* Visit our attending schools list - share a bus with a neighboring
district! Don't see a neighboring school on the list? Doesn't mean you
can't still encourage them to come!
* 1 adult can come with up to 5 students - a small group can fit in a van
to save on travel costs!
* Was a student from your school selected to have their artwork on next
year's screensaver? They attend for free!! (see the list -
http://www.maine.gov/mlti/about/photos.shtml)
* Remember, registration costs include morning refreshments and lunch! No
need for students to have to bring any additional money unless they desire
to make a purchase from the Bookstore (as always attendees will save 20%
that day only) or buy additional food.

Registration will close on Monday May 14 at 4 PM, so be sure to get those
last registrations in via the registration page:
http://www.maine.gov/mlti/studentconference/signup.shtml

With close to 1000 already registered, this is going to be another
powerful day - make sure you and your students are there to be part of it.
