Well, the Penn State Icers continue to roll through the ACHA National
Tournament just as they did the regular season, as the Icers thumped the #8
Colorado Buffaloes 9-1 at the Carlson Coliseum in Fargo, ND. Chris Cervellero
started the scoring at 4:56 of the first for the Icers, and then Penn State
finished the period with a "feeding frenzy", as the Icers held a 4-0 lead after
one. Penn State would score twice quickly at the beginning of the second, and
add one midway through the period to lead 7-0 after one. Colorado got a
little more physical in the third, but Chris Cervellero would complete his
hat trick on goals just 53 seconds apart, and the Icers were up 9-0 before
the Buffaloes' Ryan Spencer ruined John Gray's shutout bid with just 2:45
remaining.
