William Sangrey wonders if the reason for the good defensive numbers
for the ECAC is due to a weaker offense as a league. Eventhough
there weren't many ECAC offensive players posting scoring stats
like the other leagues as far as totals go, there were several
ECAC players who did very well on a per game basis. Kaufmann,
Dale Band, Scot Thomas, Mike Brewer, Mike Lappin and Daniel
LaPerriere were on various lists. Also, Clarkson was around
fifth place in the goals per game category with St. Lawrence being
a couple of places behind. Given that, I don't think that the
ECAC is a weaker offensive league when compared to the others.
