A big crowd tonight at Achilles saw a good one, as Union and Clarkson
played to a 2-2 tie. Kris Goodjohn and Chris DiStefano had the Union
goals, both in the first period. Kevin O'Flaherty tied it for
Clarkson in the second. Then the goaltenders took over, Tim Roth for
Union (32 saves) and Dustin Traylen for Clarkson (39 saves). Union
had the game-winner right on the doorstep a number of times, but
couldn't put it away.
Union takes three points on the weekend, as they start the league
portion of their schedule 1-0-1, and move to 3-3-3 overall. The
Dutchmen travel to Princeton and Yale next weekend.
