I've been searching for the past several weeks to find information to update my college hockey internet broadcast website and found a lot of things changed from last year.

Several radio stations that broadcast college hockey including
KCNN (North Dakota), WCCO (Minnesota) and WTKA (Michigan) have posted notes on their websites stating that there is some confusion about paying licensing fees for streaming audio
as opposed to just broadcating over the airwaves. I read that as an impending or actual lawsuit. As a result, these stations
have suspended their internet streams until further notice.

In addition, several other major changes have taken place since last year. The two biggest companies to broadcast college hockey (www.broadcast.com and www.broadcastsports.com) no longer exist. The former has been absorbed by Yaho and the latter has gone out of business. I have been working to update my website. However, for the past years, broadcast.com had a web page for each of the colleges it covered and a schedule of upcoming games/broadcasts. It appears that Yahoo is picking up at least some of the games. However, it's schedule gives games a week in advance. Since it's just the beginning of the season, it's difficult to tell exactly who they will and will not cover. Check my website for details; I check the web on a
a regular basis and try to update it regularly. As far as those schoold covered under broadcastsports.com, I have no clue as to whether the schools made other arrangements or whether
they've just abandoned their streaming broadcasts. I've been researching and following these streaming broadcasts for 5 seasons now and we reached a high last year where over 75% of the schools in Division 1 had streaming broadcasts. The number was over 90% if you counted only the old 4 leagues
(WCHA,CCHA,ECAC and HEA). This year it looks to have dropped to well below 50%.

I ask people once again to send me an email informing me of any college hockey broadcasts so that I may keep the website up to date. Interest in college hockey has increased tremendously over the past several years and the increase of streaming broadcasts has been a major factor in that increase.
The information I seek is anything to do with college hockey broadcasts (division 1 or 3). I'd like the name of the school
the call letters of the radio station broadcasting games
and whether or not the broadcasts are streamed over the internet. Even if you know the games aren't streamed, send me the call letters; I can contact the radio stations to see if streaming plans are in their future. Please respond to me privately, not to the list.
