ELMIRA 10, Brockport State 2:  In the Battle of the Eagles, the Soaring
Eagles of Elmira (8-4) bested the Golden Eagles of Brockport State (5-7).
Jeff Spinelli of Elmira picked up eight points on the night and teammate
Bernie Cassell had the hat trick.  The line of Mark Cuzzopoli, Jim
McCarthy and Mike Baker had all six scoring points for Brockport.
Cuzzopoli and McCarthy each had a goal and an assist and Baker had two
assists.
 
PLATTSBURGH STATE 10, RIT 4:  Plattsburgh (13-0-1), the country's top
Division III team, beat RIT (7-4) with seven straight goals in the third
period.  Tim Sullivan of the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and Tom Masaschi
of the RIT Tigers each had a hat trick.  For Masaschi, his three goals
gives him 102 career points and ties him for 24th on the RIT all-time
scoring list.  Derrick Barnett of the Tigers stopped 42 of 52 Cardinal
shots and Mike Mondello saved 23 of RIT's 27.
 
MERCYHURST 6, Fredonia State 5 (2 OT).
HAMILTON 7, Skidmore 4.
 
Saturday, December 14, 1991
 
OSWEGO STATE 3, RIT 3 (OT):  RIT (7-4-1) rallied in the second period
to score three straight goals after Oswego (8-3-1) had collected three
of their own in the first.  Mike Catusco, Matt Dixon and Jim Thomas
scored for the OSU Great Lakers and Tom Masaschi (with three points for
the game), Scott MacNair and Mike Smith scored for the Tigers.  RIT's
power play went 2-for-4 and Oswego's was 1-for-8.  Greg Szazynski, in
his first action since a Nov. 8 loss in Geneseo, saved 40 of 43 for
the Tigers and Bill Synder stopped 35 of 38 for the Lakers.
 
FREDONIA STATE 7, Skidmore 2.
HAMILTON 5, Mercyhurst 2.
