I realize it may be a bit early to be thinking about these, but as a Contest
Director I have to think ahead.

Anyway, what I would like would be for someone to give me confirmation on the
format for the conference playoffs for this year (I realize that the CCHA will
change its format next year). I will list below what I am aware of and would
appreciate affirmation or any corrections that are necessary.

So, the conference playoff format to the best of my knowledge:

Hockey East- First round- #8 vs. #9
             Quarterfinals- 8/9 winner at #1
                            #7 at #2
                            #6 at #3
                            #5 at #4
(all these are single games, not the usual 3-game
                                        sets)
Semifinals- Uncertain as to whether teams are reseeded
If so, then highest seed vs. lowest seed remaining
                                other two teams remaining
If not, then 8/9/1 winner vs. 5/4 winner
                                 6/3 winner vs. 7/2 winner
             Finals- Consolation and Championship

ECAC- Only top 10 teams make tournament
      First round- #10 at #7
                   #9 at #8
Quarterfinals- Lowest seed remaining vs. #1
                     Next-lowest seed remaining vs. #2
                     #6 vs. #3
                     #5 vs. #4
(these are best-of-3 game sets at higher seed)
Semifinals- Once again, uncertain as to whether teams are reseeded
      Finals- Consolation and Championship

CCHA- First round- UAF at #10
Second round- If #10 wins, then #10 at #1
                                      #9 at #2
                                      #8 at #3
                                      #7 at #4
                                      #6 at #5
If UAF wins, then first four teams have right-of-refusal
and would play the lowest-seeded team remaining
(all series are best-of-3 at higher seed and teams are
                          reseeded after this round)
Quarterfinals- #5 at #4 (one game)
      Semifinals- 5/4 winner vs. #1
                  #3 vs. #2
      Finals- Championship

WCHA- First round- #10 at #1
                   #9 at #2
                   #8 at #3
                   #7 at #4
                   #6 at #5
(all series are best-of-3 at higher seed and teams are reseeded
                        after this round)
      Quarterfinals- #5 vs. #4
      Semifinals- 5/4 vs. #1
                  #3 vs. #2
      Finals- Consolation and Championship
