Friday Night: UAA 5 UAF 6 (At Fairbanks)
Saturday : UAA 6 UAF 5 (At Anchorage)

Shoot:
        UAA 3/5
        UAF 1/4

This was arguably the best way for these games to have ended...a series split
with each team winning at home. Though, UAA did win the ensuing shoot,
which was good. :)

Fridays game in Fairbanks was played in front a sold out crowd at the Carlson
Center. Both teams obviously made their share of mistakes, but for the
most part, it was a good game, with the lead changing hands three times. UAA
made a few defensive lapses that the Nanooks capitalized. It was pretty much
a game where whoever got the last goal would win, and UAF did just that,
winning their first game against Anchorage in the last four.

Saturday's game at the soldout Sullivan Arena was a similar game, though the
Seawolves were determined to start right at home, and so the play was generally
in their favor. Fairbanks never gave up though, and again capitalized on
most of the Wolves' mistakes, especially in the third period.

To determine a "series winner" for state bragging rights, a shoot was held
at the end of the series, with UAA shooting 3 for 5 and UAF 1 for 4!!! :)

Six of us went up to Fairbanks and met up with several friends, and then about
fourteen came back to Anchorage for tonight's game. It makes it a lot of fun
for everybody when the games are as close as these two were, and we already
look forward to next year's!
