No box scores, just some points of note.
Boston University beat New Hampshire in Durham, N.H. tonight.
BU's Coach Jack Parker benched numerous players for unknown
reasons (give others a chance, prevent peaking too soon, or
maybe just disciplinary). Among those in street cloths were
Jay Pandolfo (2nd on team in scoring), Doug Freidman (1st line,
leading in crushing hits), and Steve Foster (6-4 defenseman).
With the additional injuries to Mike Prendergast and Chris
O'Sullivan, it was "interesting" to see BU playing people like
Ken Rausch, Dave Dahlberg, Jon Jenkins, and Koskimaki all in
the same game. BU also played only 5 defensemen. I guess this
shows how truly deep they are.
The game was a little sloppy, but still good.
Scott Cashman got the win in net, raising his record to 5-1
(or is it 6-1???) and lowering his GAA toward 2. His save %,
very quietly putting up "All-American" numbers?
Just wanted to share the news.
