At lynah rink in ithaca, ny cornell defeats yale 4-2 to win the
series and move on to lake placid.

goal scoring (i apologize for the spelling errors)

1st period
cornell - Hornesby [bell]
Yale - Noe (bowman, steeves)
Cornell - Francis [knopley, wycoski]

2nd period
Cornell - Matt McRae [knopley, cooke] pp goal

3rd period
cornell - Bell (empty net shorthanded goal)
Yale Duschene (rodgers, closing seconds)

goalies: matt underhill cornell, Lombard (yale)

Yale took a chance with 5 min left in the 3rd.. they had a power play
and opted to pull the goalie and try to score 6-4. however, cornell
was the team that capitalized and scored the empty netter to make it
4-1.
Yale did get one final goal with seconds remaining but the damage had
been done.

Let's Go Red!!!.
