I have heard from my sources that the inside track is Scott? Owens
coach of Des Moines' minor league team.  This would make sense if
it the coach I am thinking of.  Scott Owens was a long time CC
assistant under Buetow and Lucia.  If I remember correctly he got
stuck as the assistant coach who served an unpaid suspension for
the recruiting guffaw that led to Buetow's firing.
 
Also on the short list but mainly for courtesy and bargaining reasons
is Dick Umile.  It is my understanding his contract is under
negotiation at UNH.
 
And rumored to be under consideration but no confirmation are Trevor
Pochipinsky a former CC player now coaching at a Colorado Springs high
school and Chuck Delich formerly of AFA.
 
Any other rumors out there.....
