How about this......
 
Extend Season by one week.....
1 - 4 get first round bye
 
12 at 5
11 at 6           (Best of 3)
10 at 7
 9 at 8
 
Then .. reseed
Quaterfinal
Highest seed at 1
Next highest at 2
etc.
 
Then Reseed and do a final four at Lake Placid!
 
Many more games to play and everyone gets to dance like almost every other
league.
