Walsh's contract expires during the 1997 summer. The university says it
wants him back and he says he wants to come back. However, it will be
interesting to see what transpires during negotiations for a new
contract.
 
Why would Maine re-hire Walsh? Because if it doesn't re-hire him, the
hockey program will fall on its face and a lot of boosters will leave.
