As an avid colleger hockey fan, I thought I'd add some
WESTERN perspective to this discussion.
 Some scattered thoughts:

The most dominating player I can ever remember was Tony Hrkac.
In 1986-87 he lead the Nation in scoring with over 100 points.
He also lead his team to the National Title.

Scott Beattie was amazing for his size. He would jump on a lose
puck and put it upstairs before anyone else knew what happened.
That's what made him so exciting (and scary for Gopher fans), he
could score any time he he was out there.

The best eastern players I've ever seen were Lane MacDonald, Jean-Yves
Roy and Shawn McEachern.

The most entertaing player ever was Larry Olimb. No one ever knew what he would
do next. Just when you'd think "why didn't he shoot?" he thread a perfect pass
to a wide open player at the goal mouth.
One more comment: Derek Plante for Hobey Baker. He is the Bulldogs.
