Subject: imagine if...

There was a thought provoking column in College Hockey News this week (from
Adam Wodon),
http://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2011/11/09_unhappy_valley.php.

He is very careful to state that there is no indication that this is about
to happen or even to suggest that this is a real possibility. But he
brings up the question as to what might happen if Terry Pegula decides that
he doesn't want his name associated with Penn State in light of the recent
scandal involving the assistant football coach and all the fallout that the
arrest at Penn State has sparked. What if Pegula withdraws his pledge of
$88 million to start up and fund Penn State's division 1 hockey program.
What would happen to the 17 current division 1 hockey programs who switched
conference membership as a result of Penn State's joining D1 hockey? What
would happen to the NCHC?

Again, Adam is not suggesting this will happen nor even that there is any
evidence whatsoever that this is under consideration. It was more of a
thought provoking, what if question.
Can you imagine the chaos?
