I hope the temps aren't around 60. When asked about having a Winter Classic further south or out west (e.g. California), NHL Commish Bettman has said their ice capabilities are good up to about an outside temp of 50; but above that, it's an unknown (and a chance they don't want to take).

I read an article that quoted Dan Craig who said the site-lines at Ford Field will be just as good, if not better, than any NHL rink. I also went online to TickeMaster today to look at those $40 seats previously discussed. I'd suggest a very good pair of binoculars for anyone getting those seats. (Down around the goal line at the far end zone and all the way up in the top of the bowl.)

I am wondering how much attention has been paid to making sure there is ice
that meets the standard of frozen four ice at Ford Field.  Has there ever
been an ice sheet there before this?  The weather forecasts show much above
