Maine defeats BU 1-0 in the first game. Jimmy Howard played in goal today
adding to his record shutout total and lowering his 1.15 GAA. Sean Fields
played well for BU and really didn't have much of a chance on the one goal
allowed.

UMass came from behind to beat UNH 5-2 in the night cap. UNH led 2-0 and
2-1 after two periods, but a spirited UMass team scored four third-period
goals (the last of which was an empty net goal).

UMass will play in its first Hockey East Championship game ever Saturday
night versus Maine. The Black Bears will be looking for their fifth
league title.

UNH's loss ends their bid to become the first team to ever win
three-straight Hockey East titles.
