BU pulls off a remarkable series win tonight at BC, 4-2.
I wished that I could have been there, but got perhaps a better perspective
by watching on television while listening to the BU radio broadcast.
BU clearly played a better game than they had in Games 1 or 2. They played
even with BC for the first two periods, made fewer mistakes, and got better
goaltending. They even did a reasonably good job of playing a strictly
defensive third period - they looked like they revived the game plan from
the Beanpot, only this time had two more goals to work with.
This may be the most dangerous eighth place team in college sports history.
Question: Tony Voce took a 5-minute major crosschecking penalty in the
closing minutes for BC. Will he miss the first NCAA game for BC? That would
be a big loss for a Eagles team that's got to be wondering where the wheels
fell off.
