Ex-Bulldogs honored
Two former Minnesota-Duluth All-Americans were on the International Hockey
League's post-season all-star team.
Defenseman Brett Hauer of the Manitoba Moose was a first-team defenseman,
and right winger Chris Marinucci was a second-team winger.
Hauer and Marinucci were teammates on UMD's 1993 Western Collegiate Hockey
Association championship team, when Hauer was an All-American as a senior.
The following season, Grand Rapids native Marinucci won the Hobey Baker
Award as college hockey's top player.
